چکیده
Srreesr; To analyze cytoskeletal development in neuroectodermally derived epithelial and muscle cells of the human eye during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. M&c& Nine formalin-fured and paraffin-embedded autopsy eyes representing the 13th to 49th week of gestation were studied with 10 monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) to intermediate filaments and ,x-smooth muscle actin (&MA) using the avidin-biotinylated pcroxidasc complex (ABC) method. &&.tg The q&he&s of rhe iris reacted with MAbs Vim 384 and V9 to vimentin in all specimens. Reactivity with MAb CAM 5.2 to CK 8 and MAbs CY-90 and KS-B17.2 to CK 18 disappeared from its anterior and posterior layer by the 18th and 28th gestational week, respectively. The whole anterior layer reacted with MAb lA4 to c&MA from the 28th week onward. MAbs DEU-10 and D33 to desmin lab&d its dilarorfibcrs by the 37th week, and focal reactivity for CK 8 and 18 concurrently appeared in them. The future iris sphincrer reacted for oSMA in all eyes. In the earliest specimens, this reactivity was still confined to cells of the rilag sinus. The initial reactivity of tbe sphincter for vimentin gradually disappeared after the 22nd week, whereas MAbs to desmin increasingly labeled it from the 18th week onward. MAbs to vimentin, CK 8 and CK 18 labelled tbe ciliary epithdium in all specimens. The ciky mr&e reacted for vimentin and uSMA in all eyes studied, and from the 16th week onward increasingly strong immunoreactivity for desmin’ was present in it. The ret&l pigmeM epithelium reacted with MAbs to vimentin, CK 8 and CK 18 throughout the fetal period studied. ~&B&&B The results highlight the highly individual cytoskeletal development of tbe derivatives of the optic vcsiclc, and offer a framework for detccting pathological changes in the neuroectcdermal cytoskeleton of the fetal, human eye after the fmt trimester of pregnancy. Expression of hsp90 Alpha and hsp90 Beta during Xenopus laevis Embryonic Development
Background: Members of the eukaryotic Hsp90 family function as important molecular chaperones in the assembly, folding and activation of cellular signaling in development. Two hsp90 genes, hsp90 alpha and hsp90 beta, have been identified in fish and homeothermic vertebrates but not in poikilothermic vertebrates. In the present study, the expression of hsp90 alpha and hsp90 beta genes in Xenopus...
متن کاملI-39: Exploring New Frontiers in Human Y Chromosome Proteome Project
The major goal of the Chromosome-Centric Human Proteome Project (C-HPP) is to systematically map the entire human proteome with the intent to enhance our understanding of human biology at the cellular level. However, this goal may be hindered by the lack of quality observations of given proteins due to absence of expression in a given tissue, very low abundance, and expression only in rare samp...
متن کاملEPSA1 and VPF genes expression during embryonic and larval development period of Beluga, Huso huso
Background: The Endothelial PAS domain-containing protein 1 (EPSA1) is the key transcriptional regulator of hypoxic response and Vascular Permeability Factor (VPF) is an important growth factor for vascular development and angiogenesis. OBJECTIVES: In the present study, the levels of the EPSA1 coding gene and VPF transcripts were evaluated during Larval development of Beluga, Huso huso. METHODS...
متن کاملMiR-135b is a direct PAX6 target and specifies human neuroectoderm by inhibiting TGF-b/BMP signaling
Several transcription factors (TFs) have been implicated in neuroectoderm (NE) development, and recently, the TF PAX6 was shown to be critical for human NE specification. However, microRNA networks regulating human NE development have been poorly documented. We hypothesized that microRNAs activated by PAX6 should promote NE development. Using a genomics approach, we identified PAX6 binding site...

متن کاملExpression pattern of PAX3 and PAX6 genes during human embryogenesis.
The expression of human PAX6 and PAX3 genes was investigated in 6 human 6-9 week old conceptuses by in situ hybridization. During human embryonic development (6-8 developmental weeks), PAX6 was expressed in the ventricular zone of telencephalon and diencephalon, and in the ventricular and ventral intermediate zones of medulla oblongata and spinal cord. PAX6 expression was detected in both layer...
